How I keep organised at University:

Image
Since being at uni I have come across many areas that keep me organised whilst at university. University is completely different to college so the organisation tips are slightly different. Getting yourself organised when there are assignments and deadlines looming, will save you so much time and stress. With so much going on in your life at once, its easy to lose track of important tasks and when they are due in! So here are my five tips to staying organised: 1: To-do lists:   The best thing about a to do list is the sense of achievement when you mark off that you have completed the tasks you needed to do. Even the littlest of tasks makes you feel like you have accomplished something, even if you've been sat lounging around on your laptop, you still feel like you achieved something great. I like to spread my tasks across a couple of days so that I don't feel like I have a load of pressure to complete everything at once. You're still on track to complete all

5 things to do in your spare time at uni:

As I'm writing this I'm sat in my flat studying shorthand, all fun and games but after a while I get bored. Especially on a Monday or Wednesday when I'm either not in lectures or finish early. I've watched about three and a half seasons of Jane the Virgin on Netflix and the whole season of Gossip Girl in my spare time so far... SO, here are five things to do when your flat becomes boring or lonely.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Bake some favourite home treats                                                                                                                                                                                                                             One thing I absolutely love to do in my spare time is to get in the kitchen and bake

Photoshop: How I edit my photos:

Hey all, this post is a more photography inspired post. I love taking images. I take my shots on the Nikon D3400 and I'm obsessed with the quality of the images it produces. After taking a photography course at college, I fell in love with imagery. So for this post, I have decided to share my editing techniques that I use on Photoshop, nothing overly fancy. Just simple editing skills to help make your images look that little bit more contrasted and vibrant. First of all, a little context into this image - it was taken in New York. I love the vibrant colours in this image. Before I edited it the colours were not as bright and the contrast wasn't as developed. I first decided to use camera raw filter to increase the contrast and then I lowered the exposure a little. I then made the clarity of the image higher so the details were more exposed.  Here is a screenshot of the some of the editing:  This next image was taken in Puerto De La Cruz, in Tenerife. The

My visit to the Big Apple - New York:

My whole life I dreamt of visiting New York City. I watched many films located in the heart of the city, fell in love with Gossip Girl and my lust to go there grew stronger. In January, I got the opportunity to visit the states with my friends from college as part of an academic trip. My dream came true. With our A-levels coming to an end it seemed right to head away on this once in a lifetime opportunity.  The only issue we encountered was when we arrived the water system in JFK airport was broken so the airport was flooded. Everyone got evacuated and we didn't receive our luggage for the whole trip! This meant on the first day we had to spend most of our time buying new clothes, which I mean is fun but when you only bring a budget of money, it kinda sucks... luckily we received our luggage back in Manchester when we arrived home. So let's get onto the fun parts of the trip. We stayed in Maddison Square Gardens in a hotel called Hotel Pennsylvania,

My university experience so far...

After being at university for almost two months, I've decided to write a little post on my experience so far. I love university, the studying style is so different and enjoyable, I've met some of the greatest people but also some of the not so greatest people, I've moved away from home and had a few struggles but I'm getting there and its so worth it. If you are thinking of going to uni, just give it a shot. I've always wanted to go to uni since I was young and knew I either wanted to study in teaching or something to do with writing. After doing Media Studies in high school and college I quickly fell in love with writing more and more and found a new love for wanting to become a journalist. So anyway, I'll stop telling you my life story haha, but this is my experience so far. I hope it helps you if you're deciding to go or even if you just want to see how I'm getting on. First of all, when I first joined uni I didn't think I woul
