20 things I've learned in 20 years

Image
Hey! I've seen so many bloggers do this recently when they reach their 20th birthday and I thought seeing as I am now 20 (I'm old haha) I would give it a go! It feels odd being 20, I remember when I turned 12 and my mum would say love how young you feel now, enjoy every moment, don't rush wanting to be an adult. I wish I listened to her if I'm honest. When I was younger I always wanted to be older but I'm now finding myself wanting to be younger all over again... I mean I am still in love with High School Musical, pizza and Roald Dahl books so I guess I'm still a child at heart! I spent my birthday with everyone I love with the added few missing but these guys made the evening of my birthday the best yet ❤️ But as a 20 year old it finally means a whole new year and a whole new decade in my life and it's pretty exciting! I can't wait to see where I will be in ten years time and how I will reflect on my twenties. As if I will be thirty i...

University Room Tour: Year Two:

Image
I'm back! Happy Thursday, I hope you're all having a lovely week.  This week for me has been the worst week ever and I'm so glad its almost the weekend because I need a rest from uni and I need to have some fun.  As you can tell by the title, today's blog post is all about my university flat and what it looks like! Last year I lived in an accommodation that I liked but definitely did not love. It was small, so so so unmodernised and I had to share a bathroom and I will never ever put myself through that again haha. This year I'm living in the Tramshed which is privately rented to students of UCLan and its a dream. It feels like home when I'm away from my family and that is exactly what I needed. So first of all my desk area. I love this area because it is where I spend most of my time working and getting things done on my to do list. The photo wall is my favourite part of my desk area because if I'm feeling sad and homesick I just l...

Current everyday eyeshadow:

Image
Hey everyone, how are you? I go on holiday next Friday and I am so excited to head away and sunbathe. Sorry I know I mention this in every blog post recently, I'm just very excited!! Today's blog post is all about my recent love for eyeshadow. I thought I'd take you through step by step how I apply my eyeshadow and what products I use, including the Naked Heat and Naked Cherry pallets. So first of all I apply foundation and concealer to my eyelids and the whole of my face, this is my base layer and it makes the eyeshadow much more pigmented in my opinion. I use the Collection foundation at the minute and although I am finding it quite cakey I think it is great for coverage. I have got the lightest shade as I'm quite pale but I know as soon as I come home from Tenerife I won't be able to use it anymore haha. I then use my stay matte powder, my Soph X highlighter and my bronzer/contour to structure my face. I also apply my eyebrows, I use Benefit...

Let's talk about... Anxiety

Image
I am an extremely emotional person…  I used to think of this as a negative thing, but when I think about it, actually being emotional is okay. I now acknowledge that if I’m feeling stressed, panicked, nervous, or down, I just need to give myself time to breathe and overcome the feeling.  On this blog post, I want to talk about one feeling in particular and my experience with it… Anxiety. Quite a lot of people feel it, like stress… and if you’re quite an anxious person like myself you will know that your mind can change any small situation into a massively big one…  People who know me know that I experience anxiety often and I want to explore more into the feeling itself, and how I find ways to conquer it. Recognise when you feel anxious... Now I know this sounds obvious because we all know when we're feeling anxious. But don't put off knowing why you're feeling this way, the best way to conquer them n...
