Ten things to do during Corona Virus lockdown

Image
Hi everyone, How are you all? I've not been on here for a while but now I am stuck looking at the same four walls every single day for the foreseeable I thought I would share with you what I am doing during this stressful and boring period! Since the last time I wrote on here so much has gone on, not just in my life but everywhere. Corona Virus couldn't have come at a worser time in my life really but I am so thankful that I am healthy and so are my family. I hope you're all keeping safe and keeping indoors so we can try to combat this dreadful disease! Anyway, I have been doing so many little things to try and keep myself sane, my mental health has really taken a hit since we had to start self isolating so to keep distracted, here are ten things to do during lockdown. ONE: READ A NEW BOOK: I know some of you probably don't like reading but for those of you like me who love to read, this is the perfect opportunity to finally read the books t...

University: Would I recommend it?

Image
Many students are at the stage I was two years ago. Deciding whether they want to go to university or if they want to go straight into a job or even an apprenticeship.  I have always wanted to go to university, its been a dream of mine since being a child and I'm finally here and already in my second year. Time goes so quickly. So the big question is... is university really worth it? Personally to me the answer is a big yes.  Everyone has different experiences at university whether your experience is about making friends or going on a night out; they are great experiences but also university itself is such an amazing experience.  When deciding on the university I wanted to go to, I made sure I chose one where I felt at home. This was a big factor in my decision making because I'm so close to my family and I've only ever lived with my mum and dad so to go from living with them to moving away I knew it would affect me and I needed all the home comfo...

Year one at uni is... done!

Image
Hey! I've not been on here for about a week and I think a well needed update post about my life at the minute is needed... So year one at university is finally over and of course I have absolutely loved it but it's been one hell of a long and busy year, both emotionally and academically.  I've had so many assignments, exams, essays, open exams, more assignments and even going out and learning skills I've never attempted before all in one year and let me tell you it's been tiring.  At the start of the uni year I found it hard to be away from home and away from my family, every now and then I'd stay away from home for a couple of weeks and after a while I realised that I'm not the type of person who can stay away from home, being able to go home on Friday and go back to uni on a Monday night was exactly what I needed.  I'm a very home kind of girl and being able to head home on the train and spend my time with my parents and get a hug fr...

Let's talk about... Anxiety

Image
I am an extremely emotional person…  I used to think of this as a negative thing, but when I think about it, actually being emotional is okay. I now acknowledge that if I’m feeling stressed, panicked, nervous, or down, I just need to give myself time to breathe and overcome the feeling.  On this blog post, I want to talk about one feeling in particular and my experience with it… Anxiety. Quite a lot of people feel it, like stress… and if you’re quite an anxious person like myself you will know that your mind can change any small situation into a massively big one…  People who know me know that I experience anxiety often and I want to explore more into the feeling itself, and how I find ways to conquer it. Recognise when you feel anxious... Now I know this sounds obvious because we all know when we're feeling anxious. But don't put off knowing why you're feeling this way, the best way to conquer them n...

How to deal with: Exam Stress

Image
Hey guys and gals, I hope you're all doing well. Todays blog post is a little topic all about exam stress. Exam season is approaching rather quickly and I thought I'd share some tips on how to stay chilled out and relaxed whilst still being prepared to smash your exams. I often struggle in exam situations, I always get very nervous and my heart feels like its poking out my chest, but I've had a think about it and really my nerves are only there because I want to do well and not because I don't know the answers. Before you head to your exams always make sure you drink plenty of water and you eat breakfast if it is a morning exam or lunch if it in the afternoon. This is honestly such an important factor as to why many people feel sick when they go into their exam, not only will it stop the sicky feeling but also, food makes the brain work! Next I would say, don't stress yourself out by revising the night before an exam. This is one that has been pas...
