Happy New Year everyone! Long time no see, I feel like it has been forever since I last wrote a blog post. I hope you're all well and have had a lovely couple of weeks celebrating Christmas and the start of a new decade. I've not posted on here for a few months so I thought I would do a round up of what's been going on in my life and what will be happening in the next coming year. Looking back over 2019, I'm actually very proud of everything I achieved, not just personally but academically. The last time I posted I had just gone back to university for my second year on my journalism course and the work load got heavy rather quickly. I didn't have time to breathe with the never ending amount of assignments and news days. Within my course, I achieved so much. I got a 1st in my radio, video, digital story and shorthand assignments and I feel like I've needed this time off to reflect on the last semester, so much work and dedication whic...

The Little Princess Trust: My haircut:

Image
As many of you know, I recently had my hair cut short. I wouldn't say it is a bob but for what I'm used to, it is quite short for me haha. I went for the chop a few weeks back and decided to donate my hair to the Little Princess Trust as I had about 12 inches cut. Rather than wasting it and throwing it away I thought it would be a great idea to pass it on to the charity so that a wig can be made from my hair. The Little Princess Trust is a charity who create wigs from donated real hair to give to children and young people with hair loss and they also raise money to fund vital research into childhood cancer.  They offer wigs to anyone up to the age of 24 who has lost their hair due to cancer or other conditions that cause hair loss. I personally think this charity is amazing for what they do and how they help children feel confident again when they have lost their hair.  This is one of the main reasons why I decided to help out the charity by giving them ...

University Room Tour: Year Two:

Image
I'm back! Happy Thursday, I hope you're all having a lovely week.  This week for me has been the worst week ever and I'm so glad its almost the weekend because I need a rest from uni and I need to have some fun.  As you can tell by the title, today's blog post is all about my university flat and what it looks like! Last year I lived in an accommodation that I liked but definitely did not love. It was small, so so so unmodernised and I had to share a bathroom and I will never ever put myself through that again haha. This year I'm living in the Tramshed which is privately rented to students of UCLan and its a dream. It feels like home when I'm away from my family and that is exactly what I needed. So first of all my desk area. I love this area because it is where I spend most of my time working and getting things done on my to do list. The photo wall is my favourite part of my desk area because if I'm feeling sad and homesick I just l...

My Travel Playlist:

I love travelling and as many of you will know I’ve recently come back from my holiday to Tenerife and I’m gutted! It was such a wonderful holiday and I loved spending time with my family. For this blog post, I thought I would piece together my favourite songs at the minute that I loved whilst travelling on flight, whilst getting ready on holiday and the ones I loved whilst chilling around the pool. The playlist has way over 100 songs so I'm going to add a list for you to browse. So there is a mixture. I am obsessed with Lewis Capaldi at the minute, he is amazing! I can't get enough of his recent album, obsessed. I'm also loving all the old summer classics that will always get me in the mood like Summer by Calvin Harris, Whistle by Flo Rida and lastly, Despacito. Not only the old classics I'm loving the new ones like High Hopes and I Don't Care. These songs are great. All in all, I think this playlist is just a big pile of all the songs I like an...

TV series I've been loving...

Image
Am I the only one who is obsessed with tv series? Nope probably not, but omg I absolutely love series. Honestly, if I could lounge in my living room or in my bed and watch the TV I would, I'm the queen of being lazy! There has been so many good series out at the minute, but also old classics that I reckon I will love forever. So on this blog post I thought I'd share my current favourites! Jane the Virgin will forever now be one of my favourite TV shows. I didn't give it a chance when it first came out because I didn't think it was anything I would be interested in. But let me tell you. When I started university in September and I'd already re-watched Gossip Girl twice, I needed something new to watch and this is perfect! I fell in love with this show as soon as I watched episode one. Try this out, if you're uncertain go for it because now I'm absolutely gutted that this is the last season. Dead to me is another new favourite of min...

I'm a sucker for a haul and more often than not I see these kind of things more so on Youtube than I do on a physical blog, so we shall see how this goes!
