Week in Outfits: Uni Edition:

Image
Hey you gorgeous bunch, I'm back with another blog post this evening, exciting right? haha. I really wanted to show you my outfits for uni this last couple of weeks because I know a lot of people have gone back to uni or are just starting out and I love seeing videos and posts like this! So here goes, my week in uni outfits! DAY ONE: The Monday outfit: Putting a bit of effort into your appearance: I don't often go for this look because, one, its not always the most comfortable look because of the denim skirt and tights situation but, two, I have to get out of bed earlier and who wants to do that as a uni student haha. However, at least once or twice a week I really like to put some effort in with my appearance in regards to wearing a skirt or dress because it makes me feel more body confident and happy and also I have weekly news days so I like to put some effort in and go for a professional sorta look.  ...

Current everyday eyeshadow:

Image
Hey everyone, how are you? I go on holiday next Friday and I am so excited to head away and sunbathe. Sorry I know I mention this in every blog post recently, I'm just very excited!! Today's blog post is all about my recent love for eyeshadow. I thought I'd take you through step by step how I apply my eyeshadow and what products I use, including the Naked Heat and Naked Cherry pallets. So first of all I apply foundation and concealer to my eyelids and the whole of my face, this is my base layer and it makes the eyeshadow much more pigmented in my opinion. I use the Collection foundation at the minute and although I am finding it quite cakey I think it is great for coverage. I have got the lightest shade as I'm quite pale but I know as soon as I come home from Tenerife I won't be able to use it anymore haha. I then use my stay matte powder, my Soph X highlighter and my bronzer/contour to structure my face. I also apply my eyebrows, I use Benefit...

How to deal with: Exam Stress

Image
Hey guys and gals, I hope you're all doing well. Todays blog post is a little topic all about exam stress. Exam season is approaching rather quickly and I thought I'd share some tips on how to stay chilled out and relaxed whilst still being prepared to smash your exams. I often struggle in exam situations, I always get very nervous and my heart feels like its poking out my chest, but I've had a think about it and really my nerves are only there because I want to do well and not because I don't know the answers. Before you head to your exams always make sure you drink plenty of water and you eat breakfast if it is a morning exam or lunch if it in the afternoon. This is honestly such an important factor as to why many people feel sick when they go into their exam, not only will it stop the sicky feeling but also, food makes the brain work! Next I would say, don't stress yourself out by revising the night before an exam. This is one that has been pas...

How I cut down on screen time...

Image
I spend so much time scrolling. As soon as I wake up I scroll, when I'm eating I scroll, when I get in bed I scroll and even when I'm studying or watching tv I scroll. I have a serious problem with spending countless hours wasting my time on my phone, laptop and tablet.  Apple has a feature called Screen Time and it's made me realise how much time I genuinely waste on my phone! It tells you exactly what you go on and how many hours you go on your phone daily. It is a really good new edition to the iPhone but it also shows me the brutal reality of how many hours I waste playing on Coin Master! In the last week I have spent 39 hours and 26 minutes on my phone... that's scary. The main apps I go on are all the social medias, so Facebook, the gram and Snapchat and for someone trying to not make myself feel bad by looking at models I've looked at my socials for 19 hours and 57 mins in the last week. That is ridiculous... On average I spend 5 ...

My university room tour:

Image
Hey you lovely bunch, I'm aware that I have a few new readers that have joined since my last uni blog post. Welcome!! I hope you enjoy my posts and you can get something out of them! On todays blog post, I am going to be talking all about my uni flat and I'll give you a lil tour of my room. Overall living in student accommodation isn't all that bad, even if it was a little difficult when I first came here due to a few situations with the flat as a whole... someone flooded my room *insert angry emoji* I mean it eventually settled down and I'm happy where I'm currently at. Living away from home is tricky due to being away from your family and not just that but you have this immense sense of loneliness because you can't go downstairs and sit with your mum and watch the soaps or have a general chit chat with her... you're in your flat on your own. This to me meant that it was essential to make my room feel just like my room at home. I wa...

How I keep organised at University:

Image
Since being at uni I have come across many areas that keep me organised whilst at university. University is completely different to college so the organisation tips are slightly different. Getting yourself organised when there are assignments and deadlines looming, will save you so much time and stress. With so much going on in your life at once, its easy to lose track of important tasks and when they are due in! So here are my five tips to staying organised: 1: To-do lists:   The best thing about a to do list is the sense of achievement when you mark off that you have completed the tasks you needed to do. Even the littlest of tasks makes you feel like you have accomplished something, even if you've been sat lounging around on your laptop, you still feel like you achieved something great. I like to spread my tasks across a couple of days so that I don't feel like I have a load of pressure to complete every...
