Two years since Amsterdam...

Image
Do you ever get such holiday blues from a previous trip? I went to Amsterdam two years ago yesterday and I'm having such nostalgic feels. Amsterdam is definitely a place I need to go back to, whether it is staying in the same hotel or eating at the same restaurants. There are so many more things and places I want to explore! So this is a little nostalgic post about Amsterdam; all the places I visited, where I stayed, what food I ate and all the beautiful houses... The Hotel: When we decided on the place we wanted to stay at, we wanted something cheap and cheerful. Hotel Espresso was so close to Dam Square which was great because all the touristy locations and shops were in the centre so it made it so convenient. The hotel itself was so nice! The family room was such a great size, really comfortable beds and a mirror on the wall. Also the bathroom had a really nice shower. Also as an added extra, in the lobby area they offered free coffee and tea and if you wanted th...

Ready Steady Glow!

Image
Helloooo again you lovely bunch, It's been one of those weeks where life is just crap. Someone dear to me passed away on Friday and it's been a struggle. However, yesterday I got all my glow gear on and celebrated with my godmother and mum for Dementia at Media City, what an amazing night.  First of all we started the night off with a cheeky trip to Nando's and on the tram two lovely people sponsored us for our walk. Of course I had my usual lemon and herb wrap with fries and garlic bread with some amazing perinaise sauce. We sat and glowed ourselves up in the middle of Nando's - cracking all the glow sticks and I'm not going to lie we got some really funny looks.  I wore a bright pink tutu and leg warmers with glitter all over my face, such a funny yet outgoing outfit, it was great.  We then made our way to the Piazza where we met up with lots of other inspirational walkers, we wrote a little note and attached it to the memory tree.  ...

Let's talk about food...

Image
Hey all, welcome back to the bloggg. I hope you're all doing well. Today's blog is all about food! My very favourite topic to talk about. I thought I'd share my go to places if you want to go out for a lil treat... food is honestly perfecttt. One of my go to places in Preston is We Don't Give A Fork! I went here last week and oh my goodness, the food is amazing and at such an affordable price. Basically it's a burger and fries restaurant where you create your own burger. You decide on the bun, the meat, the cheese and the sauce and even the fries. If you ever visit anywhere in Preston you must come here! Next is Nando's. I love Nando's in general but the one in Preston is a tiny branch and cosy. I must admit I have been way too many times but I can never have enough of the Lemon and Herb wrap with peri chips, yum!! I mean Wetherspoons of course. I'm a sucker for a cocktail pitcher and this is the best place to go. The pub food is...

My favourite adventures:

Image
Hey all,  Welcome back to the blog! I hope your Sunday is chilled and not gloomy because work, school, college and uni start again tomorrow!  To make us all feel a little better about Monday I thought I'd share with you some of my most favourite places to go! Just some little recommendations on where you can travel next... First of all, Manchester.  This is like a second home to me seeing as I live in Bolton, so I visit quite frequently. Some of my family lives there and it's such an amazing city. Filled with so many close net people who celebrate events and come together as a community. Manchester is home to the most amazing Christmas markets which if you ever get the chance you must go too and it's also home to the worker bee, our cities symbol. Manchester is known for it's shopping, its community and strength. I highly recommend you visit the Trafford centre, Manchester city centre, Salford keys and many other places within the city... I mean just lo...

What has ended up in my shopping basket recently:

Image
Hello! I hope you're all doing well, today's post is a little haul of what I've recently bought and I cannot wait to share with you my recent buys... This is similar to my last post, I want to share with you the clothes I have picked up, the makeup bits and the books and the bags. Everything! So I love spending money, it's probably one of my worst traits if I'm honest and when I see an affordable deal I'll buy it hahaha, it gets bad! But recently I found these items and I thought I'd share them with you so you can grab them yourself... First of all, is the Levi's hoodie that I mentioned in a previous blog post. I bloody love this hoodie! It's so comfy and affordable.  Like I mentioned previously, I got it from TKMaxx at such an affordable price of 24 pounds! I just had to get it. TKMaxx is my new go to place for affordable designer clothing, not only did I pick up this but I also got a Juicy Couture top for 10 pounds! L...

Back home for Christmas...

Hey Guys! This is a little different kind of blog post today. More of an update and what I'm up too. Normally I post every Wednesday, but I kind of slipped up this week due to being home and it's been one mega busy week! Let me update you :) First of all, on Wednesday last week my gorgeous new little sweet face was born, the new edition to our family, my nephew Cole. He quickly stole all of our hearts with his little face. I honestly love him so much, its a love like no other... him and my other beautiful nephew and niece. So, for the majority of last weekend I was getting so many cuddles... just look at his toes!! Other than cooing over the little prince, I had my gorgeous niece over for a sleepover and we had the best time, I've not seen her in so long because of being at uni and I miss her so much. She's growing up so much and time is flying by. Then came a massive deadline that will make or break if I get into my second year of my course at uni, so ...

Stepping out of your comfort zone:

Image
Hi, Hi, I hope you are all doing well.  Recently I purchased an orange denim jacket and honestly it's such a big step out of my comfort zone but I absolutely love it. This post is all about how to combat that voice in the back of your head telling you to stick to the neutral colours and instead to just step out of your comfort zone, not just in the clothes department but also makeup and speaking confidently. Being your own person is a big thing for me because I have often not been the person who steps out of her comfort zone because I find it so hard. I often feel like people are looking at me and judging me or thinking I look weird in a certain outfit.  Well recently I have stepped out of my comfort zone and I feel like I should give you guys some advice on how to get out there and live your life to the fullest. I still lack confidence but in some ways my confidence has flourished since being at uni. So, first of all, the orange denim jacket... ...
